The Air Pistol specialist, Samaresh is one of the finest shooter ever to whom India is proud. He was born on May 5, 1970, in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. He is also a good chess player and is currently employed with the CISF.

Won a total of 8 medals at Commonwealth Games of 2006
Started off with a Silver medal along with Singh in men's 50m pistol and won five gold medals in Men's 50m Pistol, Men’s 10m Air pistol, Men's 25 m center fire pistol, 10m Air pairs, 25m Standard Pistol pairs and 25m Center Fire Pistol regimens
Awarded the David Dixon "Best Athlete of the 18thCommonwealth Games" award
Volunteers at the event called him the "Gold finger"
At the fifth Commonwealth Shooting Championship of 2005, he earned 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze
He even secured Gold in the 10m Air Pistol event at the Indian National Games held in 2005
Achieved a silver medal in the SAF (South Asian Federation) Games held in 2004
At the Commonwealth Games of 2002, he secured two gold medals with Jaspal Rana in the events Men’s free pistol pairs and OpenStandard pistol pairs. Besides this, he has also won three Silver Medals among which two are from the individual events and one is along with Rana in the Free pistol pairs.
Received "Arjuna award" by the Government of India in 2002
Received the honor to bear the Queen's Baton in the Opening ceremony, run at the Commonwealth Games held at Delhi, India in the year 2010
Kavita Tungar is an Indian long-distance runner from Sawarpada, Nasik was born in a tribal family on 5th May 1985. She presently works at ONGC and has acclaimed quite a few records in her bourgeoning career.
