Sarah Jane Taylor is an English Cricketer, born on 20th May 1989 in Whitechapel, London, England. She is a wicketkeeper-batsman best known for her free flowing stroke play. She comes down as an opening batsman in one day matches and as a middle order in Tests. She was also the crucial member of team England who retained the Ashes held in Australia in the year 2008. Sarah also plays county cricket for Sussex.
Scored 120 at a run-a-ball in the second ODI held at Chelmsford, surpassing Enid Bakewell’s 118 in 1973 as the highest individual score by an Englishwoman against Australia
Taylor broke another record on 8th August 2008, for the highest stand in women’s ODI cricket with a first wicket partnership with Caroline Atkins of 268 at the Lords against South Africa. She scored 129 runs in that match.
Became the youngest woman cricketer to score 1000 runs in ODI on 1st September 2008 after scoring 75 not out at Taunton against India
